'Moon Shiver' is a contemporary abstract art original.
I've always been interested in astronomy, especially the moon. Having never painted this celestial body, I decided to remedy that, but in an abstract way.
It was created by first painting the moon on a black background and then using the drip technique and careful masking to apply alternate drips and spatters of white over the whole canvas (apart from the moon) and then black on the moon only.
The varied thickness and direction of these marks add depth, while irregular light spots and splatters enhance the piece’s textured, dynamic feel.
